DAY 2

Prayer : Father God I commit this day into you loving hands and ask you to release peace into my heart and a desire to love you more than anything else may your glory fill my life and may the light and power of the Holy spirt shine out of my life. Lord in your mercy hear my prayer in the name of Jesus.

Invitation to Confession : Father God I come before your throne of grace and mercy, I confess and acknowledge I have sinned against you in thought and deed, today I ask to forgive me and, in your grace, purify my heart, cleanse me from all unrighteousness.  Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. And in your great love lead me and help me to walk in the paths of righteousness, so that I may bring glory to you the one triune God. Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy. I now receive your forgiveness and mercy in the name of my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ

Praise and worship : Isaiah 25:1 “LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago”.

Worship song Lord you have my heart (Delirious?)
Lord, You have my heart,

And I will search for Yours,

Jesus, take my life and lead me on

Lord, You have my heart,

And I will search for Yours

Let me be to You a sacrifice,

And I will praise You, Lord,

And I will sing of love come down,

And as You show Your face

We'll see Your glory here, Lord,

You have my heart,

And I will search for Yours,

Jesus, take my life and lead me on

Lord, You have my heart,

And I will search for Yours,

Let me be to You a sacrifice

And I will praise You, Lord,

And I will sing of love come down,

And as You show Your face

We'll see Your glory here,

We'll see Your glory here,

We'll see Your glory here.

God’s words : Psalm 63:1 “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water”.

Devotional : Have you ever been hungry and thirsty, I am sure all of us at some stage know what it’s like to be hungry, what about spiritual hunger, a craving and desire for the living God. are you hungry for God, are you thirsting for him? Once when David was in the wilderness and hiding from his enemies and feeling all alone, he longed and was desperate for God and in his pray he said in Psalm 63:1 “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water”.

Brothers and sisters are you at that point in your spiritual journey where you find your-self in a spiritual wilderness and longing and hungry for the living God. Are we in that place where we say I'm desperate for you Lord and lost without you. Are we in that place where our hearts cry out: I need Thee, O I need Thee; every hour I need Thee; O bless me now, my Savior, I come to Thee. As time goes on, I am using these words more and more to express me need and desire for God. Paul the apostle was someone who loved and de-sired Jesus. Even thou he experienced so much suffering and pain in His life, he longed to know His Savior more and more he said in Philippians 3:10 “I want to know Christ”.

If we desire to know God more and grow to love Him, we need to seek and long for Him. The word Seek is a strong word. It means "to crave, pursue, to make sacrifices to get, to go after with all of your strength and all of your heart. I do believe God is calling Christians to seek Him, to pursue and deepen their relationship with Him. And the wonderful thing is the deeper you go with God, the deeper you experience him and all He is.
I believe God wants to take each one of us into a deeper and much more intimate relationship. So deep we can hear His heartbeat and hear His still small voice. The word “deep” means “extending far below the surface, descending far downward. God wants to take us far below the surface of our relationship which may be great or may even be shallow. His desire for us is to know and love Him and move from a shallow relationship to one that is deep and intimate. He invites us to draw close to Him.

And what is beautiful God rejoices when we accept and draw near to him. He delights when we accept his desire for a deeper intimacy with Him. And promises us in Jeremiah 29:13-14 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD”. When we seek Gods face, we will find more that we can ever dream possible, the peace and the presence of the creator of the universe. The more you encounter and go deeper with God the more you realize that God the father, the Son and Holy Spirit become the greatest love of our lives and it’s hard to live without him. The more you are deeper with God the more of God will be seen in you.

Can people see God in our lives?  The deeper you go into God and reveal your heart, He also reveals His heart. It’s when He reveals His heart you begin to understand His purposes and plans for you. I encourage you to today to pursue and seek God for who He is and make your relationship with Him a priority.  If we go deeper, I believe we will discover what we have been looking for all along, the beauty, the presence, and the Glory of the God.  So, brothers and sisters if we want to deeper with God grow to know Him more what will help us is to reflect and examine our spiritualty our walk with God and have a longing, a desire to seeking the one true living God, Father Son, and Holy Spirit. May this prayer be our pray-er today and always. “Lord, I give you my heart I give you, my soul. I live for you alone. Every breath that I take, every moment I'm awake Lord have your way in me”.

Personal Prayers

Help me love you and serve you with a heart of thanks. May my life always worship you with gladness. In the name of Jesus, I pray Amen.
